Bear Concrete recently bolstered its operational capabilities with the acquisition of a new Mercedes Arocs 8×4 3240 chassis fitted with a Sterling 8m drum mixer. The vehicle was supplied through the Sterling’s stock programme allowing the vehicle to be on the road within 4 weeks from order including paintwork and livery in Bear Concretes distinctive branding. Bear Concrete is a rapidly growing readymix firm delivering to a wide area across Derbyshire and South Yorkshire.

The Sterling truck mixer includes capped blades and a superior helical coil geometry to ensure premium quality concrete that’s thoroughly mixed, and a rapid charge and discharge rate for more efficiency on site. A 400l steel water tank provides adequate water for washing down and controlling the concrete mix where necessary while maintaining a competitive payload.

Sterling truck mixers are built at the firm’s factory in North Yorkshire, a 38,000sqft complex on a 5 acre site which also houses the plant body production line. Technical support and parts are also provided nationwide from the same team to guarantee timely and practical assistance in service.
